What it’s like to live in High Point, NC

A day in the life of local business owner, Daniel Gray

If you’re considering a move to High Point NC, you’ll probably want to get an idea of what a typical day might look like. While visitors from all over the country are attracted to High Point’s notable events and attractions like the bi-annual High Point Market, globally designers, retailers, and craftsman are drawn to the Home Furnishings Capital of the World™. High Point’s big reputation is supported by a community of locally owned small businesses and international companies alike, both modern and legacy industries, and a growing list of amenities that make life in High Point great.

You may recognize Daniel Gray from the Food Network show Chopped, but he is also one of High Point’s superstars! A small business owner of Uncle Food Group, Daniel is the man behind some of our favorite sweets at Baby Cakes and Uncle Cheesecake (if you haven’t paid them a visit, you’re in for a treat). In his spare time, you might find him working out at the YMCA, hitting the open water at Oak Hollow Lake, enjoying dinner with friends at 98 Asian Bistro, and of course, ending the night with a slice of Carolina cheesecake.

“The thing that excites me the most about High Point’s future, is that there is a future.”
